Bandhani was introduced in Jamnagar when the city was founded 400 years ago. This city has now become one of the principal centres of bandhani, creating new pattern and experimenting with modern colours.

"Mahavir Bandhani" has completed more than 100 years in this business of bandhani and textile industry.

We started production of bandhani in 1904 giving equal importance to requirements of customers of various classes. First production of bandhani was done in 6 to 7 colours and that also in limited traditional designs only. But "Mahavir Bandhani" started production with some variations in colours and traditional designs and bandhani became famous in fashion industry. After that we also started the production of dress-material, chaniya-choli, shirts with bandhani design. and due to which bandhani became famous in various cities of the country and the world. we are producing bandhani of superior quality by taking the help from the professional designers and dyeing masters.
